Our new enhanced learning program for kids and animal shelters.

The Tommy Two Shoes Literacy Project for Children Inc.

Our goal is to provide free books to children of all walks of life and bring the fun back to reading.

With our read day assemblies, schools can sign up to become a part of The Tommy Two Shoes Literacy Project for Children Inc., a 501(c)(3) Public Charity, and have one of our sponsors come and hand out books to the different grade levels where every child gets to go home with their new favorite book.

Reading is an essential ingredient for the success of a child's education. Many children do not have books in their homes, from rural areas to big cities. Children who are not read to and do not have a traditional "favorite book" on a bedroom shelf are losing out on the importance of literacy.

The more that you READ, the more THINGS you will KNOW. The MORE you LEARN the more PLACES you’ll GO!

Dr. Seuss

First, think. Second, dream. Third, believe. And finally, dare.

Walt Disney

Never bend your head. Always hold it high. Look the world straight in the eye.

Helen Keller

Children require guidance and sympathy far more than instruction.

Anne Sullivan

Read Day Event

The main event where sponsors come to read to schools who have asked to participate in receiving "free" books for the class, grade or school. The assembly includes a theme and a reading of a passage from the book.

At the end of the event, our sponsors will hand out a copy of the book to each child in attendance.

The Need for Tommy Two Shoes Literacy Project for Children Inc. 501(c)(3) Public Charity

Small, rural towns lack books to give to children of elementary school age, and so too do many metropolitan areas.

The need is great and continues to grow. Elementary school libraries often meet budgetary constraints and many have limited books. We want to be at the front line for teachers to get them the support they need to help their students get more exposer to literacy.
